How to Bypass Congress' Laws

Here's how the pros do it. You don't like a law that the congress passes. Why bother with Veto Power, when you can add a "signing statement" that in effect renders the law moot.
Don't like a law being passed that says "We shouldn't torture people", add a "signing statement" that says "We reserve the right to Torture."
Don't like the provisions saying you have to go to the FISA court to obtain a search warrant, just add a "signing statement", saying you don't have to go to the courts.

I guess we are still under attack from the extreme right over our beloved Constitution. It seems as though they would burn it if they could get away with it. Instead they use it as a source of usurping power.
