Well, well, well, it looks as though John Bolton knew when to finally call it quits.
What took him so looonnng?
He was never confirmed to begin with, had to be appointed through a recess appointment. He was suppose to go through the confirmation process all over again and he knew that he wouldn't get confirmed for the second time, so he decided to "Cut and Run"™ instead of having to go through with the hearings again. Plus now he can write his scathing book about his boss and his bosses boss.
