The most interesting thing about this sequence of events is the relationship between Sue Ellen And Steve. If you remember I did a blog about this when it was exposed earlier this year, involving Sue Ellen, Steve and a Lobbyist and VP from Conaco in which the three of them bought a beach house together. Conaco no longer had to meet its obligation to bring their plants in compliance to EPA regulations that Conaco had been billed for previously.
Three days after Steve plead guilty he married.

Now here is the really interesting bit of factual gossip. After Griles got his job in the Interior Department, he started getting approached by Abramoff. Abramoff had a friend in Italia Federici, who was Grile's girlfriend at the time.

Furthermore, Griles was involved with donations made to Council of Republicans for Environmental Advocacy, run by his girlfriend Italia Federici. Donations were made to CREA by both Abramoff's tribal clients and by energy-sector companies with connections to Griles, because Griles came out of the energy sector himself so he was VERY well connected.

Together all these people STOLE money from EVERYONE.
