Using The Military as Props

Apparently, the Bush MisAdminisrtation is in violation of the Law. They have been using the military as their manufactured outrage since before the 2000 (S)election. If you recall back in 2000, during the (S)election debacle they had the nerve to suggest that the Democrats hated the military.
They even had Rep. Steve Buyer to help interfere with the process, here some of the charges:
1 Abuse of Congressional office for partisan politics; politicization of active-duty military (Rep. Steve Buyer, Rep. Tillie Fowler, Michael Higgins, Rob Carter)
On 11/22, Rep. Buyer gave the Pentagon a list of active duty sailors whose ballots had been rejected as invalid, which was provided by Florida Republican operative Rob Carter. Buyer demanded their e-mail addresses immediately. Buyer's aide Michael Higgins then contacted the sailors and put them in touch with Carter, who enlisted these sailors in a propaganda campaign to attack Vice President Al Gore as anti-military, and to pressure county officials to count invalid ballots. Carter also supplied Rep. Tillie Fowler with stories from service members, which she used to denounce Gore at a rally.
Greg Kelly of Fox News is pursuing a story no one else seems to want to touch. On Tuesday, he filed this report: "Twice last month in speeches to military audiences, the president attacked Democrats and fired back at their accusations that pre-war intelligence was manipulated by his administration. . . .
"The attacks against critics at military settings may have put troops in the awkward position of undermining their own regulations. A Department of Defense directive doesn't allow service members in uniform to attend 'partisan political events.' . . .
"Several members of the military told FOX News that Bush is inviting the troops to take sides in a partisan debate in his speeches.
" 'This is a very bad sign,' said retired Marine Gen. Joseph Hoar, who led Central Command in the early 1990s and is an administration critic. 'This is the sort of thing that you find in other countries where the military and political, certain political parties are aligned.' "
Then we have the Military being flown back from Iraq, a war not of their choosing but a war of Choice for the Bush MisAdministration. The soldiers are flown into Dover in the dark of night, then they are being flown to their homes in commercial airlines in the belly of planes with no flag draped coffin, and no escort when they arrive.
Dead heroes are supposed to come home with their coffins draped with the American flag -- greeted by a color guard.
But in reality, many are arriving as freight on commercial airliners -- stuffed in the belly of a plane with suitcases and other cargo.
It appears to me that we have the Bush MisAdministration using the military as their whipping post. They are forced to fight an illegal war, forced to attend Presidential and Vice Presidential speeches where the opposing party is Mischaracterized.
This should send chills down the spines of "All Americans".
