Double Standards of Duke-Stir Cunningham

After reading the article concerning Randy Duke-Stir Cunningham's sentence coming up due to his bribery charge, there is the statement by his attorney that the 10 year sentence is excessive, and should be lowered to 6 years instead. Citing his age and health as his bargaining chips.
Considering those requests I decided to find out how the Duke-Stir would treat someone who may have used cannabis as a way to control their cancer related sickness. After doing a google on the topic I came across quite a gem.
Mr. Duke-Stir had written an article about the terrible drug problem in our country. Call for and voted for the death penalty for drug "king-pins." Stronger mandatory sentences for children as well as adults. Forcing so called activist judges to enforce the mandatory sentences. This article was written September 24, 1996.
Within this same article was a article concerning Duke-Stir son who back in January 25, 1997 was busted for smuggling 400 pounds of Marijuana. Now what do you think Papa did when confronted with his son being a "king-pin."
Did he ask the activist judge to give him the mandatory death sentence, that he voted in favor of?
Did he ask the activist judge to give him the mandatory 5 years in jail, that he also voted in favor of?
Why no Mr. Duke-Stir went before the activist judge blubbering (as he is prone to do to drum up sympathy) and ask that his son be given leniency.
“This is . . .” Cunningham said, as his voice trailed off, “This is difficult.” He began to cry.
“I’m sure you see people from broken homes here every day,” he told the judge.
He said his son is basically a good person who made a bad decision.
“He has a good heart. He works hard. He’s expressed to me he wants to go back to school,” Cunningham said. “He’s never been in trouble before.”
His son was only going to have to spend 14-18 month stay at a boot camp and halfway house, however young Cunningham tested positive fro cocaine 3 times so he was sentenced to 2 and half years in jail.
So, why should the Duke-Stir who bilked the government out of millions of dollars get special treatment from an activist judge?
He should spend the time for the crime, as they say in Washington!
This link has several articles concerning Duke-Stir's double dealing regarding the drug war and different standards when it concerns his own son.
