Know Ney to DeLay

Bob Ney and Tom DeLay didn't have a problem with Jack Abramoff, until he became the main focus of several investigations concerning his unlawful activities. Then they started squealing like the little pigs that they are by claiming they were duped by Jack, or "I haven't done anything wrong" routine.

They both enjoyed going to Scotland for a round of golf.
Ney's report to Congress listed as a purpose of the trip: "speech to Scottish Parliamentarians." However, there is no record of Ney's speech in the Scottish Parliament's register of official visits kept by the external liaison office, which is available on the Web. In addition, at the time of Ney's trip, the Scottish Parliament was out for its August recess, spokeswoman Sally Coyne said.

Ney is not the first public official who has come under scrutiny by investigators for the Scotland trip. David Safavian, then chief of staff at the General Services Administration, also went on the trip with Ney, Abramoff and former Christian Coalition leader Ralph Reed Jr. Safavian, who went on to become the chief White House procurement officer, has been indicted on charges that he lied to investigators looking into the Scotland trip when he said that Abramoff had no business before the his agency.

DeLay claims there wasn't anything unethical about his Scotland golfing trip, except for the mere fact that his trip was paid for by Jack which is illegal. He also used Jack's credit card as well as Ed Buckham's credit card.

In return for their support Jack asked for favors, such as helping to discredit Gus Boulis the owner of SunCruz in Ney's account. In DeLay's account he gladly stepped up to the plate for stopping legislation concerning the Northern Mariana Island. In this saga DeLay kept the slave trade intact. You see in the Mariana Islands (which is part of the US) the garment industry hires workers (mostly women) to make our clothing. The workers come from all over the south Pacific, China, etc. They are told they are coming to work in the states. However they never make it to the states, instead they are taken to the Mariana Islands. There they are forced into slave labor, prostitution (if they get pregnant they are forced to have abortions). DeLay's job was to make sure that the made in the USA labels were still allowed to be sewn into the clothing, as well as making sure the workers would never make minimum wage.
Rep. George Miller and former Sen. Murkowski had bipartisan support for those bills.

Now here's where I think the story gets interesting concerning the two congresscriters. Jack planned on sending some of the SunCruz Casinos to the Mariana Islands.
Ney helped them accomplish the Casino deal, and DeLay made sure the bills before congress were squashed!

Were they going to set up a prostitution ring, along with the gambling, drinking, and who knows what else goes on during one of these trips?
