We the People???

Apparently, Representatives John Doolittle and Richard Pombo of California, along with former House Majority Leader Tom DeLay of Texas, fought an investigation by federal banking regulators of Houston millionaire Charles Hurwitz.
The Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation (FDIC) was seeking $300 million dollars from Hurwitz for his alleged role in the collapse of the United Savings Association of Texas, which cost taxpayers over $1.5 billion dollars.
The investigation was ultimately dropped.
It appears that when the courts decided that Corporations had the same protections that "We the People" have they invited the problems we are now facing in this country.
When the Congresscriters talk about "We the People", they are obviously not talking about us "We the People", they are referring to their base, their corporate donors. It is also very obvious that "We the People" cannot contribute the large amounts of cash that the corporations give to them during the campaign season as well as during their off season.
So, whenever you hear them speak of helping their constituents just ask yourself if they are really talking about you or their very special friends the corporations.

Which brings me to the conclusion we are living in a fascist regime.
